Staff Training
At Duchess, we believe that ‘Social Responsibility’ begins at home. Improving the skills of our employees enhances their confidence and performance at work. It gives them skills to secure their future and improve their everyday lives. Of course, as our customer, you also benefit from the superior services and products our trained workforce is able to deliver.
Our employees participate in various internal and external training initiatives. We provide ongoing in-house training through our own dedicated training centre, which houses six computers and machines.
We are immensely proud of our extensive Staff Training Programme, which currently includes:
- Various members of staff completing skills development training through the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in a range of disciplines including:
- production
- cutting
- pattern making
- design
- planning and;
- BTECH
- Multiple staff members completing the ABET course through Open Learning Skills Academy.
- Several employees undertaking a Microsoft excel level one training course through Dynamix Learning Solutions.
- Two employees completing Pay Roll training through Accsys.
- One employee undertaking a four year management degree through the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
- One member of staff undertaking a Finance for Non-Financial Managers advanced diploma through the University of Cape Town's Graduate School of Business.
